My apologies! Thought for sure that it had to do with the style of the title and price built around the price. Well I guess it is more like a postage (mailbox) flag than a stamp, now that I look at it...D'oh!

I thought this thread needed a bump...anyone with some new acquisitions to add? (I do, but I'm currently at work.)

Nah, and we're all STILL waiting for Jimbo to post his calm-mix books.

foreheadslap.gif I be back home on-leave in the States in mid-Mar. I'll post them then... thumbsup2.gif

well first i guess i've been wrong all theses years calling them

portal books. you know like a portal wed page?

anyhow, are we posting all including 20 centers or just 25 centers?

i love these books, 20 or 25 cent portal books.

i was thinking of starting a thread myself till i saw this one.

unless of course this is only for the 25 centers in witch case

i will start one with all portal books.

i need more reasons to post my books....please help me....

Just letting you know the 25-cent reprints of the original 20-cent covers are frowned upon. grin.gif

Go right ahead.

so let me get this straight, and bare with me.

there we're 25 cent portal books that we're

original stories.

in addition to that there we're 25 cent portal

books that we're reprints of the 20 cent portal

covers?

is that right?

so what about say avengers 93 thru ....what is it 108?

or what about marvel spotlight 5. do they work for this

thread? those are some of my all time favorite books.

There are no true 25-cent "picture frame" Marvels, but there were a few (there is a romance book posted on this thread) 25-cent issues that reprinted the entire contents of the older 20-cent issue, including the "picture frame" cover.

The Marvel "picture frame" era went from 1972 to 1973, and when it ended, comics were still 20-cents.
