Stop Marvel From Replacing X-Men With Inhumans!

I've been a huge X-Men fan since I was buying the books off the stand in 1982, and I don't care anymore what or who Marvel uses...I just want good stories. Period. Marvel hasn't done anything good with them since the proper demise of the book starting with issue 167 (most of us had agreed on this).

 

If you want the good old stories, go read the good old stories. I'll support whatever Marvel/Disney wants to do as long as they keep the quality up.

 

For the collectors who grew up in the late 80's and 90's, the have a very different perspective on X-books.

I love 90's X-Men, and freely admit it.

P.S. It is clear, and expected, that Marvel is taking this as a business, it’s their job.

Problem is that it has always been a business, but if you look at how the Marvel Age unfolded you see a vision, likeliness, a sense of wholeness, and a source of inspiration. What Stan Lee delineated in his flamboyant language in "Origin of Marvel Comics", to state it in a lighthearted and genial way.

 

If you look at Marvel of the past twenty years… I am not sure what you see.

 

But the past 20 years are a symptom not only of Marvel's business acumen but of North American society as a whole. Everything has sped up and many businesses don't care who their longtime customers are. They only care to turn a buck today regardless of who is paying or buying.

 

That just seems to be the way of the new world.
