I like this cover... it's a funny cover, as it was intended to be. Conner's work isn't everyone's cup of tea, however it can't be argued that it's badly drawn like some of the others posted here.

 

It absolutely can. She has more artistic talent than me, but I don't think she should be working for a big 2 and doing covers.

You said it can't be argued that it's badly drawn. I would say her style is badly drawn.

I fully respect your opinion that you don't like her style - many don't. However it's not a critique demonstrating why her work is poor.

 

As mentioned above, the cover is laid out well. The figures are anatomically well drawn, it has nice detail and a great colour scheme. It is by no means a bad cover.

The figures may be anatomically correct in terms of not having exaggerated features (well, except Harleys gigantic eyes), but there is no realistic definition to anything.

In my opinion there are two types of comic book art, realistic, like Alex Ross or Artgerm, or overly exaggerated, like Adam Hughes, JSC, Turner's women, Dodson, etc...

This falls in between which is not a good place to be.

I disagree with everything you say on the cover however I can't argue that's not an argument lol

 

Conner's artwork is fun and cartoony (hence the big eyes) but that's why it's popular. Looking at Aquaman's face, I would say there's no less realistic definition than the next cover along the shelf.

 

Either you have very high standards or you're a better artist than you give yourself credit for... ;)

Exactly.

 

I don't like Harley's face, either. It's a bit stylized and cartoony for my liking. That, however, is a question of style, and not artistic quality.

 

Contrast that with the Darth Vader cover, where the hands are reversed on the character's weapon, and the blade is not even in the swing plane. THAT is badly drawn.
