Got this today from a local collector who had it for over 40 years.

 

The cover is still attached at top staple, centerfold is attached also by both staples.

 

The weird thing is the back cover. There is a replacement piece on the back cover that is roughly 20% larger than the missing hole. Someone taped the piece on years ago. I am wondering if I should remove the replacement piece.

 

I think I know what CGC will grade it at, but just curious to see what others think.

1.0....punchers chance at 1.5. Make sure the piece is only attached with tape and not wheat glue or another type of adhesive.

Why are the colors on the word Hulk so much more vibrant than anywhere else?

Maybe it's just my eyes, but the red & yellow on HULK look super vibrant to me.

Nice pick up Scott. I'd say it's a 1.0 for sure. It may get a plod 1.0 if the piece is married from another copy. If you remove it, there's still a chance it gets a 1.0 blue label.

Thanks, I've been traveling a lot the past couple days to see some collections recently. Nice to finally get lucky again.

I don't want to jinx anything but I am supposed to see something extra special tonight from a gentleman in his mid 80's. Not sure if he will sell, but sounds camera worthy.
