I always love the New Years themed covers. Not comic book related, but Leyendecker did a lot of fantastic covers for the Saturday Evening Post in the 1930's and 40's with New Years themes.

And one more on the same theme I forgot yesterday, by Charles Biro:

Here's a standard issue of Star Comics, which are generally very hard to find but also in very low demand due to non-descript cartoony covers.

Heck! There is demand all the way from Chicago to Mississippi!

There are much better uses for 75K than buying the AM#5 Mile High.

I have to agree (and was just going to post the same thing).

Very, very tough book in grade - and difficult to find at all unrestored - but oh man that price range just makes me cringe.

I'm perfectly happy with the A-Man 6 (which does retell our hero's origin...)

hello all...

Luckily, I have no interest in it, just thought it was interesting, so I posted...now, that lower grade action 1 has my name written all over it! smile.gif

So what is the general consensus as far as what this book is truly worth? Guide is $25,000. Tough to put a number on it as it is such a one of a kind item. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I do not think it will make reserve. Great book, but too esoteric for most GA collectors let alone "comicbook collectors".....top would be 50k in my view....jon
