Ebay going to go after keyword spammers now?

15 posts in this topic

I saw this posted in a Facebook group about a seller who was selling a book from a company that shall remain nameless.

===============

You mentioned unrelated Brand Name "CGC" in the title. Hence, we removed the "Not CGC " from your listing title.

As you list other items to our site, please be sure that only the brand name of the company that manufactured or produced an item should be included in a listing. Please understand that including other brand names affect search result and lead to a poor buying and searching experience on eBay.

Also, it can cause legal trouble for misrepresentation or infringement on other's rights. We've observed that this is the first time you breached eBay policy; please take some time to read our help pages. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

They have always had this policy, it's just a matter of how often they enforce it. I read somewhere that the same thing happened to someone who was selling a poster and they included another hot or well known artist in the title to get attraction.
