there was no one there when I got mine. Hundreds walking right by. There was a big black mask sign there that just caught my eye.

I asked what he had. He pointed to those and I asked how much and he almost apologeticlay said $20. I said I'll take one but please don't sign it. I bought a #3 and had that signed.

Right place right time ....

Was there onsite grading at SDCC? If so, I don't see anything fishy at all.

Also, the seller is from Bradenton, he or she could have very well used the Walkthru option/tier.

I'm just happy the seller pointed out in the title that the WWBN #1 CGC 6.0 he's selling in not a 9.8. Phew (shrug)

I doubt it's anything fishy on the book. I believe it's an option for extremely fast turnaround that is quite pricey. Not such a bad move if so on a book like this since it's a mini and as fast people move on to the next "hot" thing.

Sdcc has no walk through. So it would have had to be subbed at SDCC.

OK...

You ALL loathe me here on this outdated social media: "web page forum."

Pretty sure how this will play out with the vindictive lunatics.

I could care less.

Right is Right.

Publishers manufacturing additional printings of a comic well after release should NOT be considered first printing "grails"

They are later printing variants IMHO.

This is going to "smack" of sour grapes.

It "is" partially & it isn't.

Believe what you want.

I pride myself on being one of the top buyers of modern comics.

It burns you all, but more often than not, I'm well ahead of the industry.

My gift: I order like the comic fan that I am, and can see potential without a track record, when others can not.

I know a good bet when I see one.

WE CAN NEVER GO HOME #1

BLACK MASK COMICS

By:(W) Matthew Rosenberg, Patrick Kindlon (A) Josh Hood

It was a book on maybe half a dozen retailers that matter radar.

An easy hand sell in my indy friendly shop.

I commissioned a couple variant covers.

They were well received.

Two of them were ltd to 50 copies split between my dump & Jetpack comics.

They sell in the $50 range.

They were produced:

One.

Two.

Three

Four

Five.

Six

Seven.

Eight.

Nine.

Ten.

Eleven.

Twelve.

Thirteen.

Fourteen.

Fifteen.

Sixteen

Seventeen.

Eighteen.

Weeks before the SDCC cover ltd to 50 was released.

It's EXPLODING on the aftermarket right now as a 1st printing variant ltd to 50.

Bull Crapolla!

The SDCC cover artwork is spectacular.

It ALONE makes it more desirable than my "sepia" cover that is just a rehash of the shop variants commissioned.

It's ALL about precedence here.

If a publisher reprints a book for limited release is the market always going to swoon?

What if Black Mask makes a better cover for NYCC ltd to 25?

Is that better than a first printing?

I'm calling FOUL on this one....

( GREAT THIRD PRINT LTD TO 50, SURE. 1ST. FUCH, NO. )

Pretty sure how everybody with a copy will trash me....

First printings > Manufactured First Printings.

There's not many that have one here. I do..

But I've been :preach: on this for a while

Enormous NYCC limited to 100 is a 2nd print

SAGA RRP is a 3rd print

But people still want them and feel they are more valuable than other printings. I guess it's the print run (shrug)

Stil.. I don't believe this book to be a 1st print. But let it rise ... I'll be happy

Any possibility the books were printed way back when and were being held for SDCC? Naive thought, but plausible, no?

Sure.

But WHY not say that eighteen weeks ago?

What if there was one held back for NYCC 2015?

I WANT TO KNOW.

Now!

Not AFTER the fact....

Larry... I am one that thinks 90 percent of the time you have very valid points. I also agree with you again on this. My question is what is your invincible #1 shop variant considered? 2 nd print? What was your print run on that book? It isis way undervalued if it's the same situation as some of these other con books.
