Is there a helicopter pad nearby?

Other than SFO (San Francisco International Airport), there are five heliports available. The Hall of Justice Heliport has not be used since the fatal crash in 2000 killed two police officers.

I've heard only great things about their Tampa and Indy shows, I'm sure this is going to be great.

That city is crying out for a con, especially considering the Moscone Center refuses to allow comic shows.

I hadn't heard that. Why would Moscone Center refuse?

Comic book conventions are not a big money maker for San Francisco. This convention will be held inside the hotel, not Moscone Center.

AWESOME! I can take BART in from Dublin.

You have to first cross the entire Atlantic Ocean, and then the entire breadth of our country. BART will not be that useful ...

Why didn't I think of that? doh!

(Actually, its about a 40 minute BART ride from Dublin, California. Very convenient!)

I hope CGC will be be there!

Good to know. Finally, a local Con. I'll be there.

seriously, you'd think it'd be no brainer to have a con where the world's richest and most cosplay friendly nerds live.

We just spent a week at the SF Marriott Marquis. Brilliant hotel & location. This was the warmest reception we could ask for. We visited a couple dozen comic shops. What an awesome, robust funny book scene!

Interesting...

Same weekend as Baltimore, same weekend as Dragon Con

If I were given the options of taking a trip to either San Francisco, Baltimore or Atlanta, the choice would be easy. San Francisco.

For location I agree 100%. After that it would ( for me at least ) depend on the dealers / creators you can get. Also, Baltimore has CGC on site grading which I know is a big draw for people.

We have 20 creators booked at the moment. We are able to confirm those 20 creators in record time too (for us), as it only took 24 hours. Everyone wants to go to SF! :)

any hints on who?
