technically, the NTT don't qualify for this thread neither. something about a DC Comics Presents appearance or something.

if the Champions count, then why not the Avengers?? they never appeared as the avengers anywhere before (ie., JLA in B&B or defenders in marvel premier, etc.).

 

Defenders first appeared in Marvel Feature gossip.gif
