We would like to see all our FRIENDS...Sunday April 10 at the MILLENNIUM HOTEL -next to the GALLERIA MALL on Walden in Cheektowaga...starting at 10am for Buffalo's Best One Day Comic Book Marketplace- a great number of the Top Notch Dealers...that are not at other Upstate New York Comic Shows this Spring! Avengers Lovers assemble April 10th!!

I keep seeing its going on the 10th but nothing about it being a two day show.

I may have gotten some bad information on that.

Is the show next weekend going to be about the same size at this one?

It's a Ted Hanes show so it will probably be smaller and not well attended.

Thanks for the info. Bit too far of a drive to have it be a small lack luster show.

Just got a call from Craig out of Pittsburgh, PA. That's his wall of books above. He had a over $4,000 worth of slabs stolen from him at this show. I'll get the list of books up later after Craig sends it to me.

Damn, sounds every show I hear about some poor dealer gets books stolen. And we wonder why there are less dealers at shows. I hope he recovers his books and the perp goes behind bars. Can you imagine being in the slammer telling people you are in for stealing funny books?

That sucks! Hope he had insurance.

Here's the list he provided:

ASM #129 CGC 9.0,

ASM #122 CGC8.5,

Batman: Harley Quinn CGC 9.8,

Thor #126 CBCS 9.2

X-Men #96 CGC 9.8 hand written date in pen on upper left corner of front cover.

Yikes - someone knew to grab some heavy hitters. Wouldn't the common thief not be able to pick out such gems from all he had on his wall?

Serial numbers might help in case someone tries to list me on eBay or some such site.

I asked him if he had more information.

That's horrible. I feel really bad for Craig. It's a small venue but it can sure fill up with people. Hard to keep your eye on everyone.

Hmmm, a cosplayer with proof of money coming out of the wallet.

lol

That's what I thought too

Is that really a Cos Player though, or someone who just wants to stay in their pajamas all weekend?

Notice the same picture appears in the niagra falls review! Manipulated narrative by op! :o

Just got off the phone with Craig. He recovered all of his books except for the Batman: Harley Quinn CGC 9.8.

After I pointed him to his books on eBay, he contacted eBay who stated they needed a police report to proceed. Craig drove from Pittsburgh to Amherst, NY, submitted a police report, then drove back to Pittsburgh.

Craig then contacted eBay who stated they only deal with police when dealing with stolen property. An Amherst police officer then called eBay, who stated they only deal with the police via email.

eBay stated it would take two to three weeks to provide the seller information.

Craig then bought an inexpensive item from the seller, just to get his name. Craig turned over the sellers name to the police. The police retrieved the seller's name, address and telephone number and drove from Amherst NY to

Jamestown, where the seller lives. After arriving in Jamestown, NY and finding the seller not at home, the police called the seller, told him he was attempting to sell stolen goods, and agreed that they would meet the next day.

The police drove back to Amherst, NY.

The next day the police drove to Jamestown and retrieved all of the books except for the Batman: Harley Quinn CGC 9.8. The seller was upset as he was out the $700 he paid for about $3200 worth of stolen books.

Great to recover the bulk.

Sux for the buyer/seller of stolen goods too but that's what you get when you buy high dollar slabs from some dude with meth teeth in a back alley and don't get his contact info.

Too bad it hasn't been traced to the real thief ... But maybe it could be with some good description.

Was he wearing a cosplay suit
