Indiana Comic Con 2016 Con Report - Mostly pics

14 posts in this topic

Hey guys. Haven't done one of these in a while, but I like Rocker and Stephen and thought I might let some that were unable to attend see what the show was like.

I was by myself this weekend, so my picture taking time was very limited, but I took what I could get to. Pretty good crowd for the weekend. I would guess somewhere in the 25K range. Apparently the artists and celebs were extremely busy as I sold lots of books for the artists, but also heard lots of people complaining about the length of the lines. Lots of solid artists/ creators, including Neal Adams, Bernie Wrightson, George Perez who is one of the nicest people you will meet, Jim Shooter, Marv Wolfman, Chris Claremont, Mark Waid, and probably more that my con fried brain can't remember right now. Also want to give a shout out to my buddy Aaron Lopresti who signed and did sketches and bought some books from me. And fan favorite (and local hero) Stuart Sayger was also there.

There were lots of comics in the hall and lots of vintage, mostly smaller and more local regional guys, which was nice. Always good to see some other faces and books. Several AF #15s in the room, a couple of Hulk #1s, and lots of other good books.

Saw several boardies, including October, Bubba Gump, Par2ch, and many others.

I didn't take any pics of hot chicks, but if someone else took some, feel free to add them to the thread. I didn't see that many. I think they were all following Rocker around all weekend.

I had a solid show and a particularly solid buying show, and got a line on a collection I hope to pick up in about 2 weeks.

On to the pics. Took some pictures of my own wall (the slab pics are particularly awful due to reflectivity, the lighting wasn't great at my booth), and then some pics of some of the other guys.
