I also immediately thought of the Steranko cover when I saw it. That might be my favorite Steranko cover.

I remember reading an article in Wizard about all the homage covers of that pose. I don't even think they had all the comics listed and sadly I do not own the issue anymore.

 

*Edit* If I remember correctly from the article, this is the cover that started it all. Space Advntures 24.
