Come on, that movie has JW Pepper in it.

JW Pepper.

He makes an unwelcome cameo in The Man With the Golden Gun as well.

Mr. Big's death scene (where they clearly used an inflatable doll) in LALD has got to be one of the more ridiculous ones in the series:

Dude, the "we sure are, boy" line given by Bond to JW before the car jump is fantastic. :whee:

Not sure if this was mentioned - rumor was that Karl Urban was being considered.

He plays a very good tough guy. Great Dredd and I liked him as Black Hat in Priest.

He's 43 and that's old to start doing Bond. He would be doing it for 1 or 2 films. They seem to want a younger guy.

Anthony Starr from 'Banshee' has been mentioned on imdb.

He would be a great choice and was excellent in the show. Proven in fight scenes and is young enough (esp without the stubble)

Would be my choice.

Don't forget "Bones".

He was good as Bones (thumbs u

Looks like we may have a winner...

Aidan Turner

Poldark star Aidan Turner is hotly tipped to be named as the next James Bond...

...The Night Manager star Tom Hiddleston is currently second with odds of 2-1, with Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill and Damian Lewis also making the list.

Tom Hiddleston Doesn’t Think He’ll Be the Next James Bond

Tom Hiddleston has previously said that he was game to play James Bond, and last month rumors surfaced that he was actively in talks for the role of 007. The rumors were bolstered by hints that James Bond 25 might be helmed by Susanne Bier, who directed Hiddleston in The Night Manager. Directors often bring their favorite actors along with them on new projects, so Bier and Hiddleston working together would make sense. Now, however, those hopes seem to be dashed.

Speaking to a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia, as reported by ComicBook.com, Hiddleston addressed the Bond rumors directly. If he is indeed being cast as Bond, he is as of yet unaware of it:

“I’m sorry to disappoint you, everybody. I don’t think that announcement is coming. But I’m very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There’s not much that I can say that I haven’t already said, but I know… Your guess is as good as mine to be honest.”

I was watching the special features on my Casino Royale blu-ray, and Daniel Craig discusses the very first Bond actor (Barry Nelson). Especially how Casino Royale was tied up in legal disputes between the Ian Fleming estate and CBS over the film rights.

How far this character has come over the decades.

Daniel Craig Reportedly Offered $150 Million To Star In Two More James Bond Movies

According to sources close to Radar, Sony Studios is throwing buckets of money at Craig, desperately pleading with him to return as Bond for two more films, while a new younger successor prepares to tackle the role next:

“Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned.”

Right, but is $150MM enough to keep him? The source even went on to explain the studio's plan of re-upping the franchise:

“Then they will shoot two more films, which will be made virtually back-to-back, preferably featuring Daniel as 007 before he passes the figurative baton to someone else for a third movie that will mark the start of the new era"

James Bond Producers Want Daniel Craig Back for Bond 25

James Bond fans are still waiting to see what's going to happen with James Bond 25, the next film in the series, following Spectre. Current franchise star Daniel Craig has been extremely frank about his fatigue with the role, but rumors have persisted that he could be making a return.

Meanwhile, fan casting and rumors of possible replacements for Craig have continued to circulate, with names like Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston leading the pack. Well, one of those executives close to the franchise recently opened up, and he let it be known that Daniel Craig is still the studio's man for the job - if he wants to be.

"I know they're hoping for him to come back," Bond franchise executive producer Callum McDougall told BBC radio (via Deadline), adding that Craig is still "absolutely the first choice" for producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Willson.

As good as Casino Royale was, I thought Skyfall was a top 5 Bond film, and possibly the best since Goldfinger.

While there were problems with the last 20 minutes (mainly that much of it was ripped from "Home Alone"), it was a bravura film that hit all of the Bond highlights.

After the disappointments of Quantum and SPECTRE, though, I'm not sure where they go from here without rebooting with someone else.

I wonder if a major issue for casting an actor for the role is the physicality it requires? Craig had his share of injuries, and he was a fairly fit/physical actor before that. I am not sure Hiddleston could do as much in the role. Alba could probably handle it based on some of his other roles.

Isn't Elba too old at this point?
