Is that something that can be reported to CGC for them invalidate the label?
To what end? :shrug:

So when someone searches the number it says 'invalid label' and they wont buy the book its now with

Yeah, just selling the label looks "fishy" hm

 

If you look at those scans, the book presents rather nicely for a 1.8. I suspect whomever noted above that the book was likely cracked and sold as a higher grade is correct. Caveat emptor.

since we all agree it looks better than a 1.8, it suggests that maybe it was graded inaccurately.

Possibly resubmitted for regrade and maybe resold.
