Any idea on what Metro is asking for on their CGC 8.0 VF copy of Punch 12? hm

Is it a ped copy?

 

It's a Crowley. You can take a closer look at it on the Metro website. They also have a White Paged 7.5 copy of Punch 12 for $34,750...

 

Ah.....the rise of the classic covers! (worship)

 

Now if my math is correct, that works out to an extra $30K for going up only half a grade point. :o

Word has certainly spread on the Fox books with the later issues playing catch-up with the early issues. Big jumps!

 

Baker books are very scarce, prices are still climbing.

 

Centaurs? Forget about it.

 

MLJ's virtually non-existant too.

 

DC's in plentiful supply.

 

Timelys super tough.

 

Lou Fine covers? Nope (Harley does have the Larson National 9).

 

Fiction House, only the later issues are readily available. I did see two Planet 16's.

 

Lots of esoteric GA in the building, typical low-demand titles.

 

EC's in grade are scarcer than usual.

 

Just my take on things, hope others chime in... having a great time!

Lots of other folks I missed like Motor City Comics (which I already picked up some books on Wednesday) and I did want to meet Gator to thank him for the Human Torch #23 he hooked me up with last year and because he seems one of the more savvy collector/dealers on the boards but most of my time is actually not spent on buying old comics but on the many other events going on.

 

Saturday I'll be in the infamous Hall H all day so Sunday I'll return to my comic shopping and dropping off some books to CGC.

 

Hope all else in attendance are enjoying themselves despite our slight heat wave the city is in. :flamed:

I'll check the jackpot tmw but the action 13s were Green label 1.5 $25k and 7.5 white (no price; don't think it was for sale).

As for the 7.5 white page copy of Action 13, every book has its price. Now, if you were to offer him a 6-figure sum tomorrow, you might just be able to take the book home with you. :D

I snagged this Mystic 5 from Brian Peets at A-1 Comics today. It is missing the second page of the Black Marvel story, but the price was too good to pass up. He also had a nice low grade All Select 3 that I decided to pass on.
