Thinking of teaching a class on "investing" in comics....

99 posts in this topic

Wow G.A is really being mocked for this idea. There are already plenty of courses that teach people how to make money outside of comics everything from How to private label to sell on Amazon, Selling ebooks on Kindle, How to monetize a blog ect... Why not one for comics? Why not one for sports cards or coins? Mention money and comics in the same sentence and hardcore collectors roll their eyes but the truth of the matter is that we all want our books to sold for more than what we paid for it. This hobby is very divided and each side doesn't like the other sides opinion. Fan/Reader vs the Reseller/Investor. Neither is wrong.

I've been trying to not put my two cents in, but I will butt in anyway.

Rick is probably the best person to front an endeavor like this, his qualifications are immense.

Sure does beat all the millions of YouTube videos that preach bad advice.

Go get em Rick. :headbang:

I thought the pile on was because Rick was joking?

:gossip: shhhh. We need to see who else signs up for the course

....gotta say, it is getting just about absurd around comic land these days, with all these "investment" questions, and hopes and dreams and such...

there is a way to make money in comics, and it is a closely guarded secret only known to very few... I wonder if I should offer a course (for a substantial fee, of course)..

hm

Does this mean I can stop telling you what the market prices are on all the bronze and silver junk I sell to you?

Will you accept Coke Zero as payment for the course? ?

^^

With that kind of creativity, js is surely going to be your right hand guy when you get to the point of franchising this instruction model out.

Can you imagine the fees you will rack up from folks that will be willing to pay for that closely guarded secret of yours alone? Then when you franchise out, everyone will hear ((on their local TVs and radio)) ads that will say .........

---->>> You can get started in the art of flipping comics with little to no money down! My name is G.A.tor and I am looking for a few highly motivated individuals. Please attend my no risk no obligation comics instruction course!

You will be huge and on your way to the bbb club. Very nice. Please do not forget us......

you means its not by buying action 252's and putting them in a safe for 20 - 25 years? :eyeroll:

that's an imaginary safe remember

I guess the youngsters don't recall the thread where a safe actually contributed to the demise of their comics. Read it and weep.
