How many dioramas will be required to pass the course?

I don't care if they're required or not, I'm making a baking soda volcano!

lol

Doesn't he have to buy a dealer pass from someone on the boards first if he wants to get to the "good stuff"?

Harley? He's basically Santa Claus. That's how is able to be everywhere at once. He doesn't need a pass, he can just get in through the places chimney. Heck the other day, on my way to a con I stopped at a Waffle House and there he was!

....gotta say, it is getting just about absurd around comic land these days, with all these "investment" questions, and hopes and dreams and such...

there is a way to make money in comics, and it is a closely guarded secret only known to very few... I wonder if I should offer a course (for a substantial fee, of course)..

hm

Only if it's a mail in course that is advertised in the backs of comics and a free pack of sea monkeys is included.

If such a course existed, I'd definitely vote for you to be on the faculty :)

I'm curious as a high-value dealer, dont you think there has always been a component of this to all sales 4 figures and higher, even if it doesnt get vocalized as much in non-bubble times?

Yes 'collectors' care about the book more, and the investment less, but unless you are incredibly wealthy (8 figure net-worth plus), I dont see how anyone can make multi-thousand dollar purchases of anything (comic or otherwise), and not at least somewhat consider that it has an investment component to the purchase.
