Theft Alert: Chicago area Dealer Comics4less

91 posts in this topic

Fellow Boardies, FYI, Pete of Comics4less was robbed this weekend. While he is not a Board member, many of you know him from his weekly E-Bay auctions. Pete is local to Chicago, so he would request you keep an alert at this week's Wizard World. He will be handing out flyers at the show also. A police report has been filed and they have solid leads on the suspect, so be careful not to buy any of the books and then have to return them.

Pete can be reached by phone @ 847-513-2666 or E-Mail oldcomics@yahoo.com . A list of the stolen CGC books will be posted shortly.

These stories shiver my timbers and when it happens to someone I happen to know it really bums me out. Ive got nothing but nice things to say about Comics4Less. A stand up guy Ive had done bus with and spoke on the phone a few times. Great business ethics. Nope he didnt deserve this. Well nobody does. I can only hope this ends well.

Were the safes bolted to the floor?
And did the books have rusty staples?

Not nice dude!

looks like he was sarcastically asking an irrelevant question thus making a point that what difference does it make if the safe was bolted to the floor.... It's gone.

This. Lizards may come across as a jerk to some, but he isn't really a jerk

It was a joke - and certainly a better one than this:
