Before Myron Fass was churning out lovable exploitative schlock through his Eerie Publications mags, he was drawing pre-code stuff like this. This one is particularly weak, although the chick has a nice leg. (What you can see of it.) The dialogue is atrocious... mad.gif

Keith, these two books are like the "his & hers" Atlas decap twins. tongue.gif

On the Strange Tales cover, you have to wonder what's about to take place. The headless guy has dug two graves (for those gentlemen?) and is expecting company! crazy.gif

Kinda weird mix of skeletal parts on both the headless dude and the other 2 guys.

Kind of a Bill Everett thing. He does this a lot on many Atlas pre-code horror books.

Check out the "Show us your Atlas books thread"!

Yeah, certainly weird to say the least.

This one was a fun read... you'd never guess who killed Agatha from the cover, but the interior story was of course easy to figure from the get-go. Some wild interiors by Heath in this one, too.

Beautifully rendered cover, if somewhat more subtle than usual. Agatha "Slurl"?? Bizarre name...

I've said it before, I'll say it again: I love when Atlas uses the "whole cover" technique as opposed to the "frames" on the side. This one is a great example, no need even for text. 893applaud-thumb.gif
