BATMAN #19 Joker story. 1st D*ck Sprang story. $750 REDUCED NOW $700

 

An exceptional CGC 6.0 with OW/W pages. I didn't slab this but it looks harshly graded, a couple small tears at the bottom o the back cover and a little non-color breaking crease at the bottom right corner being the only notable flaws I can see through the slab. There is a small plastic shard floating in the slab as well, it does not appear to have broken off this slab. Small production tear at top left corner, but spine is solid.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BATMAN #34 D*ck Sprang motorcycle cover. Joker and Penguin cameos. $250 REDUCED NOW $225

CGC 3.5 CR/OW pages. Nice eye-appeal. The tears at the staples, and a couple spots of back cover color loss are what I imagine brought the grade down.

BOY COMICS #4 Hitler Mussolini Tojo cover. $480 REDUCED NOW $435

 

Metro graded this a 3.5, it's a solid copy with spine roll and general wear and some light tanning to the inside covers. Cover colors are a tad on the dull side. It could as easily be a 3.0, but a supple readable copy,with secure staples at cover and centerfold, and nice OW/W pages. Check out the awesome splash page!

 

And remember, you can't make Gold out of Copper, so ditch that 80s dreck, and buy the real deal.

Another Hilter, Mussolini Tojo cover! Concentration Camp story.

 

Low grade, Cover detached, two inch spine split turning in to two inch tear in cover, another two inch tear near bottom, and a 1" tear on the edge. Some dead mold spotting on back cover, inside top of covers, and on first page right margin( wiped with hydrogen peroxide to be sure). Cream pages.

 

KInd of fugly, but bright colors and complete. Call it a FR.

Great Schomburg "Invaders" style war cover.

 

Another Metro graded 3.5. has a detached cover, and a 1" spine split, so probably more like a 3.0. It does have excellent eye appeal, nice off-white pages, and is free of big creases. Centerfold looks like it's just hanging on, so it may become detached if you test it.

AMAZING-MAN #10 Everett Cover $300 REDUCED NOW $270

 

Ex-CGC 1.8 with C-1 slight resto (small amount of glue on spine) CR/OW pages

 

I'm calling it a 1.5. It has a decent looking cover, but there is a 2.5" tear through the whole book. with a piece of tape over it on every page. Tape is slightly yellowed, but doesn't look too bad. The first page is nearly entirely detached from the book. There are also three pieces of pointless tape on the inside edge of the front cover. I'd call the pages cream at front of the book, moving to CR/OW towards the back. Good colors.

 

The glue looks like it was applied at the staples, and is probably what's holding the cover on.

Detached centerfold, resulting in a ragged edge on pages. A couple interior tears of an inch or so, and two half inch tears on the back cover. Pages are a nice supple off-white. Cover is secure at staples.

 

Classic cover and plenty of leg art in the Katy Keene story.
