Questions about Pressing

If there is another thread that answers these questions please just point me in that direction and I'll delete this thread. I wasn't able to find it in any of my search results.

Who are the trusted pressing services within these forums?

Do the services ship the books to CGC for grading right after?

What is the typical pricing rage for pressing services?

If I ship a book to a presser and they determine the book doesn't need pressed, am I charged anything outside of shipping?

CGC has an affiliated pressing service: Link

You will hear words of praise and horror stories about every pressing service -- as with just about any business. Whichever service you choose, be prepared for a long wait before your books are pressed, graded, and returned to you.

CCS does ship direct to CGC. I don't know about others.

Pressing at CCS starts about $12 per book and moves up by the level of service and value of the book.

There is a screening service at CCS although I haven't used it. A best bet is to send in books that have non-color-breaking creases. If it breaks color the press may make the damage worse.

Does he ship to CGC for you afterward? Yes, if you request and include your CGC Submission form.

Does he charge anything if after screening the book he determines pressing is not needed? Don't know, see links above for his website and/or PM him directly.
