True story..there was a comic book /porn store in my city and the owner calls and says he is out ..to come by and make an offer on all the comic related stuff because he is out of the comic store game forever..

 

We do..we buy his stock down to his cash register and like the candy around it etc..except the porn.

 

So we are like "Wanna sell that?"

He says no because it is a substantial investment and we literally bought him out of everything else for next to nothing (I think we gave him 1500 cash for all the contents)

 

about a month later he comes up to the shop..drags a hefty trash bag out of the trunk of his car and wants to see if we will pay cash for any porn..my shop guys (all young kids 19/20) start dividing it and I think they end up giving him like $20 for the entire bag..

 

then..every week..he would pull up..drag out another bag of porn..another $15-20...near the end he just looked sadder and sadder every time he opened his trunk and dragged out a bag of videos..

He would haggle with them and it was hilarious..like comic dealer trying to get the most out of his favorite issues

I started thinking there was like some price guide or something or a Wizard PORN etc..

That's great stuff.

 

Way back when I worked at a LCS, people would occasionally bring in porn, which we didn't buy (we carried old Playboys, but that is a far cry from the stuff folks were trying to sell). However, I believe more than one unofficial sale was made in the parking lot. Is there anything seedier than buying old porn out of the trunk of a car? Oh, those were golden days.

I was the guy who sent them to Joanna last year. I bought a bunch of books from eBay for her secret Santa, and immediately boxed em up for her, without taking them out of the Mylars. To my surprise, there was a surprise for her. :roflmao:

Well then apparently you never saw Trophy Girls #2. Because at the end we find out that Vanessa was Honey's stepmother all along and that it was okay for them to keep doing what they were doing because they are not blood-related! It was quite a jaw and pants dropper!

People collect anything. I sold some very odd 1970s porn material (sexually graphic magazines) on eBay and did surprisingly well. And the best part is that junk is no longer in my house. I even had some old stag films on Super 8 film that my dad still had from the old days where men would have parties called "smokers"-- sitting around drinking, smoking and watching risque porn. There was a bidding war for that stuff. Plenty to be found if you dare venture into eBay's "Everything Else" adult section.
