Signatures and avatars have been getting a little too racey

grown men are pansies and do not want to just call it as it is and post that directly to me or pm me and not a moderator like a squeeling girl.

Okay, I find these smut sigs and avatars to be quite childish and insulting to the other adult members on here, the majority of whom have hopefully progressed beyond 15 years of age.

Some people do work? Give me a damn break. If you want to talk about who works harder I am willing to compare my salary with yours any day.

We're not talking about salary, but working ENVIRONMENT. I can't think of any office environment where a female exec seeing jiggling titty ladies on your work computer would not get you at least a black mark on your record or a trip to HR for "conditioning". I work hard for my annual bonus, and a black mark like that on my record would can it for sure.

And yes, I have seen people fired for having pretty tame porn on their PCs, and others have been suspended or reprimanded for have sexually lewd pics (just the same as your infantile stuff) on view where female employees can see it.

And I don't know what I'm talking about? Where the hell do you work, a strip joint?

27_laughing.gif Well I guess the not so skilled in this world and those that are less desirable for employers will get punished for something so dumb. 27_laughing.gif27_laughing.gif27_laughing.gif Just look in my profile and you can see what I do for a living.

I also PM'd Rick and he handled it with class. Thanks Rick. People can blame me as well. I'm sure Rick would be glad to E-mail the image to anybody that wanted it and desperately needed it as some strange overwhelming drug fix so they can still function in this cruel and harsh world that deprives the SHAKE deprived. If people can't live without that, then they should join a support group for people that can't live without the constant shaking of a butt in your general direction that repeats over and over and over and over and over. And while your at it take my tax dollars to support your support group. There, that ought to finish all of this. Of course it won't.

I can't speak for what happens in other people's offices, but I can tell you that in my organization if I was up on the web and a woman came in and say one of the avatars was up on my screen, and she saw it, I would probably get reported to HR. I think it is an unfortunate side effect of problems within our society but that's my personal opinion and probably a conversation for a different thread.

Now that said, long ago I rearranged my office so that I face the door, and therefore my computer faces me, not the hallway. So I can see people when they come in and have time to minimize windows, etc. I happen to like RickDogg's sig gifs (RIP) and Brockley's avatar. My wife does too (I am a lucky man). But not everyone does, and today's working environment that means that if one person is offended you have to take it down, like it or not. It's not sexual harrassment, but it is considered "creating a hostile work environment" to a woman who may find such images offensive.

Rick, keep posting to the Babe Test. Those of us who like it will visit there.

W2's anyone? smirk.gif CGC is not going to be dragged to court over a shaking butt on a sig line. Reality please? Obviously, you do not know [#@$%!!!] about what you are talking about. screwy.gif

I'll be your huckleberry. I don't work all that hard at work, but I do get a pretty hefty salary.

Most companies frown upon employees using work-equipment for personal use, like using the internet. Regardless of what is being displayed on your screen, hootchie-mama's or not, you are wrong in the first place.

I personally liked Ricky's sig line girls, although now that Arch has mandated it, then it is a "moo point." (Anyone see that Friends episode?)

Although I haven't had a labor and employment case since my third year of practice, my law firm is perhaps the preeminent labor and employment firm in the nation, and so I believe I am qualified (because of the uber-Nazi-like sexual harassment training I've had to endure) to say that Tango & Cash is absolutely correct on this one. Rickdogg, I am a red blooded male and I loved your sigs, but make no mistake -- that is EXACTLY the kind of thing for which people get reprimanded and are forced to undergo HR "sensitivity training."

Having said that, Rickdogg took the sigs down as soon as he was asked to, so what are people still arguing about?

I would respond with another graemlin quote but fear the sensitive pansies on the boards might retaliate with "harsh" words.

So will simply say, good one.

I tend to concentrate on the discussions while I'm at work (lunch time, breaks, etc.), and look at images while I'm at home. I love looking at good girl art covers, but I guess Rulah or Sheena being tied up by a bunch of horny natives may be a little too offensive for some people. Same thing with people getting their heads chopped off, or Batman getting a little too friendly with Robin wink.gif. Come to think of it, any comic book cover could possibly offend someone. foreheadslap.gif Where do we draw the line. confused-smiley-013.gif
