Robot Man
Just waiting for all the big bellied beer swallowers to show up. Mrs. Robot has out done herself with a great Christmas spread this year. For those who still believe... Here is a fun app that is free. Can't wait to spring it on my grand kids tomorrow. App is called Santa Capture the Magic of Santa. Might be fun...

Robot Man
Got a couple fun comic related Christmas presents yesterday. First from my daughter and her husband. A scarce Ed “Big Daddy” Roth magazine #1 from 1964. Very fun. Brought back some good memories. 50YrsCollctngCmcs and porcupine48
Robot Man
Second, this cool book from my wife. Has a whole lot of classic PCH covers to complete dot to dot. Sounds like fun until you really look at it. Some are so complex I will probably going to go blind or crazy to complete. I intend to try it out on a few of the easier ones and see where it goes. Either way, looks like a fun book! porcupine48
Robot Man
My younger daughter was commenting on how her nieces were spoiled at Christmas. I had to remind her, that she did alright as a kid as well. I have a lot of her toys put away for her. She and I and her husband went out and pulled out a bunch of them. She hasn’t seen them in at least 25 years. KirbyJack, porcupine48, gino2paulus2 and 1 other 3

An old friend I met at Art Center ended up licensing the rights to Rat Fink and other Big Daddy Roth properties back in the nineties. I lost track of him so I’m not sure how well he did with it. I mostly remember Star Wars for her. They had a cool slot car set that I hope we kept. I have to get back further to find that stuff. jimjum12

There seems to be a lot of contemporary merchandise. I graduated from LB State. I took some classes at Art Center but just didn’t have the money to go full time. Amazing school as was LB State for graphic design.

Amazing school as was LB State for graphic design. Yeah I went there for four semesters but didn't graduate as I already had a bachelors. Worked out fine for me as it got me the connections I needed to move on to some great work.

My first job out of LB State was with Rusty Kay. I got more out of 6 months working there than I did in all my college career. It didn't hurt that we were both motorcycle fanatics. He had 5 or 6 cool vintage bikes around his office as well as lots of motorcycle memorabilia. Great guy that passed away too soon.

Yeah, but I understood that these toys needed to be played with and enjoyed. It wasn't for monetary gain although I figured they might be worth something down the road. I just stuck the boxes away and waited until she moved on later. I then made her put all the parts for each toy together and put them away. She took real good care of her toys and just loved them. Just the look on her and her husband's faces and listening to them remember was all worth it. Sadly, her first edition comics are all gone... I just didn't want to be one of those parents (like mine) who pitched away her childhood. Edited December 29, 2019 by Robot Man
