Ricksneatstuff
My valuation opinion was based a lot on an average mid grade value. Obviously if Startling 49 is in the mix and we are talking about best known copies it blows the others away.

To me good girl art is more like the Betty Page-ish bombshells painted onto airplanes. It's a little more cartoonish and exaggerated...more what people would refer to as cheesecake. Not knocking Baker Romance at all, and I may just be arguing pointless semantics, but to me GGA and Romance comics are 2 different things. There is a really fuzzy line between the two, and others may disagree I'm sure. +1. I also agree that to make the list meaningful, it should focus on fmv. Otherwise it will just be another thread in which everyone posts countless books they like. I enjoy those threads quite a bit, but we already have several of them. Giant Comics Edition 12 & Cinderella Love 25 5,6,7 & 8 ... Blue Beetle 54, Brenda Starr 14, PL 23 and Junior 15 ? Where might Seven seas 4 and Spirit 22 land in that list... Those two would definitely be up there. Spirit 22 has been very strong lately. I was basing mine on a 6.0 median value. Startling 49 would be far and away the winner based on the sale of the highest graded copy.

The more GGA Planet Comics books don't quite meet the value threshold of these top 5 contenders. Only some of the rivets really have that gga vibe to them. Planet 14 and 15 I think would be the only Planets with any possibilities of being considered gga and being north of $3k in 6.0. Love some Planets though. sagii
This baby has crossed the threshold: Last week HA sold 1 of the 3 highest graded copies (9 in total on the census) for over 3K w/bp. That's treading Venus territory. I have long thought this was one of the most envelope pushing covers in the golden age since @Pat Calhoun did a piece on it way back in CBM. I had to have one after seeing it. I think what took the title so long to get 'really appreciated' is because though the interiors featured such masters as L.B. Cole, the stories aren't as gruesome as say Atlas books. But as the hobby becomes more cover focused (thank you CGC), Manhunt features some that can stand with the best of them. I sold my #1, #6 and #9 on the Boards last week, but #14 and this one i am holding onto. This was an upgrade years ago, my previous copy i sold on eBay (should have kept that one too ). I believe it to be 6.0 -7.5, i'll know for sure one day. My favorite non hero woman in peril cover pmpknface, Marty Mann, Hutch88 and 1 other

jabats
Well, I started the thread in 2017, and in the past two years the hobby has been on fire 🔥... I think the list of “most valuable GGA books” is due for a 2019-2020 update, if anyone is willing. FWIW, I liked Rick’s methodology of estimating the value of a 6.0 book, since some of the titles are more or less available in super high grade. I feel the best you can get nowadays is 6.0/7.0 the top books are locked away till death does us part. That is why these books go for some good money when they do come up. path4play
Such a difficult thing to quantify, because there is so many genre's crossed and so much individual opinion. Maybe a tad off subject but worth sharing, I've always thought this was cool:
