Means nothing, a baby step. They are usually verified quickly upon receipt. Now, the waiting game begins. Sorry.

That's like asking how far near is from far.

It depends on the tier you chose. Walkthrough? The entire process is done in about a day.

The rest? Anywhere from days to weeks to months.

Step one, you find a book you love. 

Step two, you send to CGC.

Step three, they stick the thing in plastic.

Well that sure, seems a travesty, to me.

Yep.  Grading books is a patient mans game (unless you pay for the walk thru).   Don't even waste your time with daily status checking.   Just be prepared to wait and wait and wait until your book(s) shows up.
