Okey doke!

Last  five  books  for the  evening.

Strange Worlds 19

Reprints  Avon's    Robotmen  Of  The  Lost  Planet

This  copy  looks  pretty  nice  from  the  front with  some minor  wear and  a  couple  light  sub-type  creases,  but  upper
spine is split to the first staple, and  there's  a big  distributor  overspray  along  spine,   and it  actually  puddled up  on
the  upper  RH  corner  of  the  BC,  about  the  size  of  a  silver  dollar.   OLD  dollar,  not  Susan  B  Anthony.
The overspray  leaked  through  the  spine   here  and  there  to  stain  the spine   edge of  the  interior,  comes  no  where
near  any  art  or   panels.  Interior  is  tight,   with  offwhite pages.  Last precode  issue

Asking   $75

Weird  Horrors 5

Looks  great,   flat  and  glossy,    tight spine  and  CF,  white pages.

HOWEVER.    There  are  three  completely  unnecessary  small pieces of old  tape  on  small tears on  the  spine BC,
and another  small piece  inside  the  FC,   lower  LH  corner.  Small  tear  LH  edge  BC  to  boot.

Asking  $100  for  a pretty  copy,   no  charge  for  the  tape,  :D

And now,  for  my  walk of  shame.

Seems like  I'd  know by  now  to  inspect  a  pricey  book,  even from  a  reputable  dealer.   I've missed stuff  before,
the best of us  miss things  occasionally.

The next  three  are  books  that  I  paid  retail  or  close  to it,  and  they  all had  unrevealed  flaws.  Sigh...

Tales  of  Horror 4

Corner off lower   RH  BC,  entire  spine  is  taped  along  interior.  Tight,  cream - offwhite pages.

Take it for $30  SOLD!

WUPS!

Well,  the  heat is knocking me  out.

Sorry  Rick,   Robot's  absolutely  right,      Jim  snagged  issue  18  earlier.   I'm  getting punchy  enough  I  saw  two   posts  and  didn';t
actually  look  at  the  scans.

Issue  19  is  yours,   18  was  already  claimed.

I'm finishing  the  last  two  books,  and  I'm  DONE for the  evening.

Catrick's  walk  of  shame,   part  two

Beware 15

Bought  this one  without  taking it out of the bag,   bad move.

Front  cover looks great,  with  a  small  corner and chip off  upper  RH, small split upper spine.  But  oh,  that  back  cover.
Big  crease,   chips out,   and  two half  by  half  pieces out of the  spine  at  the  staples.    Entire  spine  is  taped inside,
with  the  tape going  right over the  missing  areas, a couple other small pieces of  tape here  and  there,  and  a  very light
water stain  upper  LH  BC.   Sigh,  mutter...

Nice  gloss,   tight  with  white  pages.   And  I'm  selling  it below  what  I paid,  and  may have  to  lower it  further.
We'll  see...

Asking  $50   SOLD!

This one  is  a hot mess  in  several  directions.

Amateur  resto  upper  edge, with  chunks  of  paper  replacing missing  parts.   A  few yards  of  tape. Old glue
along  spine  inside  FC. And   the  wrong  cover,  from  the  wrong  decade,  has replaced  the  BC, and it  was  too
small,  so  extra  paper  has  been  added  to  build  it out  to  the  right  size,  lollol

Interior  is  complete,   and  not  bad  except  for  a  couple  old  tape  stains.  And  the  Halloween    arrival  stamp  is
cool  as  all git  out,  on  a  nice  creepy  cover  that  displays  reasonably  well considering  the  shape  it's  actually in.

Grab  a hot  mess  reader  for  $30

A PCH with a Halloween date stamp? I have a copy and would have bought this one just for the stamp.

Catrick's  walk  of  shame,  part three

Detective  Comics  359,  FIRST  BATGIRL

Here you go,  nice  hot   SA  key book,   and it looks  pretty  durned nice...at first glance.

I  actually  pulled it out,   did  a  quick  page  count,  but  I  was juggling  a  page  of  art and didn't look it over  particularly  well.
The  dealer  is  mostly  known  for  art,  and  I'd just bought  a  nice   Hitler  page  from  him  (Classics  Illus  Special Ed,  WW II)
and  didn't  give  the  comic  proper attention.

Complete,   flat  and  clean,   tight  spine  and CF,   with  white  pages. Bit of  general  wear,   but  an  attractive  copy  at  first  glance.

What  I  DIDN'T  notice  was  the  light  water stain  inside the FC,  running  the  entire  length  of  the  cover  along  the spine,
about  an inch  wide.  Not  at  all  noticeable  on  the  FC  outside,  and you have  to  look  HARD  to  notice  where  it seeped
juuust  around  the  edge to  the BC. Oh,  it's  there,   don't  get me  wrong.  But  I  didn't notice it  until  I got it home,
well  after  the show had ended.   Dealer is a nice guy,  honest,   friendly,  and  we've  done plenty  of  business in  the past,
and  I'm so happy with my  page  that  I'm  not  going  to  grumble  at  him,  he's  an art dealer  with  a  few comics on display.

Double  sigh,  mutter,  grumble,  gripe.

Grab  a  water  stained   key that  displays  beautifully  for  what  I paid for it

Asking  $400

Casper The Friendly  Ghost 11

Second  appearance  of   Spooky, early Baby  Huey  appearance

And this  one  is   a  pretty  copy.

Flat,   clean,    square,  glossy, tight  spine  and  CF  and  white  pages.

Light  dust  shadow  along  upper  RH  and  lower  LH  BC,  a  few bits  of   "Marvel"  chipping  along  lower  LH  edge BC, quarter  inch
split  lower spine. The only  serious  flaw is  a  1"  semicircle  tear  in  the FC  just  above  the  left  board in  the  fence.

Asking  $50,  pretty  firm  on  this one.
