Well make a list of the things that would lead you to trust or not trust a grading system.  Then compare against your list

 

OR just take lots of pictures and post on eBay, and set no reserve auctions for your comics.  The buyers can judge the grades for themselves and the market can decide on the prices to be paid.  That way you don’t have to trust anyone.

Exactly what are you planning on doing that would lead you to ask this question and say you "don't want to get taken advantage of"?

1)Sending books into CGC to have them graded?

2)Listing them on an Auction Site to sell them?

3)Having another third party grade books for you for whatever reason?

4)Other...Please Explain

OK so it seems like his actual question is.... when selling my comics how much should I trust a dealer's (who might be buying the books) assessment of my books, both their condition and value?
