Oh man, Marville is only one of the worst comics series of all time (with some... interesting Greg Horn covers). lol

Wtf is that "Marville" :roflmao:

otherwise, the panta is really cool and the wolverine cover a good classic. :peace:

I thought about y'all today at the lcs, as I'm searching the cheaper slabs, and he said, "oh and got this!" And he pulled out a marville slab.

I chuckled lol

I thought there was one almost nude crawling toward on the floor cover that was supposed to be the high value one, but idk and to each their own in a way, I thought if I ever found it in the wild I'd pick it up then  haha

I paid $18 total for the Marville books - the first pic is the 3 covers of issue 1, and the second pic is issues 2-4. The Greg Horn covers can be all over on price but usually go for $5-15 each (issue 1 sometimes goes for more). The one you're talking about is issue 5, which is typically the most expensive.

They're lovely. Are they colour faded or printing errors? I've not seen them before but a quick google shows them to be more colourful. Perhaps the top labels were folded over?

@Garystar

These are printing errors.

The seller had two examples of the sealed packs which had the same colour error.  He also had individual loose posters which were printed the same. He said that he bought them off eBay years ago.

They're superb. They remind me of the two tone contents of the old UK weeklies. Nicely done, greggy.

Yours too I take it? Very nice. I just cross referenced to some of the posts in my sun fade thread and these are clearly printing errors.

MMMS Hulk Poster Production Materials (Marvel, 1966). Make Mine Marvel! This large stat image of the Hulk (taken from the Jack Kirby side of the cover from Tales To Astonish #67) was used to create the much beloved Hulk poster offered in 1966 Merry Marvel Marching Society poster set. The image was created from a 18.5" tall stat image that was then altered with a small amount of original art shading, and white paint highlights. This group comes with the black, yellow, and red rubylith overlay acetate sheets for color separation work by the printer. The stat is affixed to a 15" x 20 illustration board with a few ripples in it. The board is tanned and the stat is starting to come loose, otherwise in Very Good condition and a wonderful part of Marvel Comics history.

@Garystar will love them.

Very jealous, still on my wants list. There was a set on eBayUK not too long ago for £800, I held out hoping price would drop but they just disappeared, probably sold off eBay. There is someone in France currently selling the rarer set with red and white header for €995.

Wow, I was able to get the error set for $300 CAD which I considered very reasonable.  If I noticed that he had a dupe earlier, I would have bought that as well but a friend of mine bought it.  I've learned to always pick up interesting items if you find them, as you may never see them again.

Glad for the rivals and transformers, modern section spiked a bit because of them.

2 detailed commissions, way to go on the artgerm! Curious why no sketch covers if just for cgc? It's hard for me not to sound like a loyalist to cgc with the question, as OA is a much older market, that I'm just not in tune enough with lol and or especially when it comes to authentication. Like there is such a big deal made over raw sigs, but not over the art itslef for sketches, which always left me thinking too much lol

Congrats! Look forward to the slabs! Was there on-site grading?
