TheWatcher
Very nice books Watcher! I don't think I've seen this #5 before. Glad you liked them. I'm trying to complete the FA run in midgrade and then upgrade as money permits. I love the Fighting American series too.....I have the hardback compilation and i read it about every 6 months or so. I never get tired of it. Congrats on your pick up and good luck with completing the run. A Kirby fan after my own heart. Scott Thanks for the kind words, Scott. I feel FA is a really underappreciated S&K series. Great art, commie bashing with a sense of humor, what more could a person want? Angelo
cd4ever
Nice books Greg. An awfukl lot of making out going on there. I love that last guy, kissing one girl, nabbing some digits from another. My hero!!!

october
Here's a little eBay gamble that turned out pretty well. The other two are low grade, but these are actually quite nice. The 90 has great gloss. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120084244549

jeranimal
How is that an 8.0? Yeah, I think it's only a 7.0. Send it back and I'll give you a full refund! Enjoy it Steve!
Scheradon
Thanks to Jeranimal for the best looking 8.0 in the universe... Great wrap, stunning colors and no pecker tracks. That is an incredible 8.0! I can't really see anything holding it down to that grade?? In any event, it's a beautiful copy and I love that it doesn't have that all too common white miswrap along the spine.

Compare a period Marvel without a miswrap to one with the white miswrap. Colours just pop when the 'only' the front cover is on the front cover. Mr. Zipper
How is that an 8.0? There's a bit of distributor overspray on the back and 2 very small finger dents that I could barely see at an angle. There's a very tiny mark on the LLC Back that is barely visible in-hand, yet looks darker in the scan. I don't see anything that would preclude it from a 9.0 and that's what I would grade it if it was raw. I'll check the grader's notes next week, but Jerry told me there was nothing of substance in the notes and nothing that wasn't already evident. october
I would crack that sucker out, pending confirmation from the grader's notes that there isn't anything else wrong with it. Looks a lot better than a VF.

cd4ever
Never posted in this thread before but I must.... I'm excited! Been looking for this one for a while! First Omaha!! (I think...) First printing (I think..) And near minty fresh. I always loved the Omaha series, despite (or maybe because of) the kitty porn. But there was much more to the saga than that. Great stories. I once read a very sad article about the car wreck and the bitter/violent divorce between the 2 creators, Reed Waller and Kate Worley which eventually ended the series. Years later they mended fences enough to restart the series but before they could, Kate got ill and passed away. Anyway....
