damonwad
Not sure where else to post these books so I'll revive this old thread. This series ran for 27 years and almost 500 issues. Starting in the 4th year they moved from newsprint to glossy covers. Larryw7 and PopKulture
damonwad
A few more Treasure Chest's. The earliest I own is V1#2. The 2nd appearance of Chuck White, who I believe had stories in every issue. He's got to be high on the list of least known, long running characters. Larryw7, Professor Echo and PopKulture
Popular Post damonwad
I've had this painting for 3 or 4 years but still haven't been able to find a nice looking VF copy of the original 1955 comic (35 cent cover price). Popular Post Black Bat
I bought these for the groovy psychedelic 60s vibe, brilliant hallucinogenic color, and both kinda feel like a christian acid trip heading in the wrong direction... The second one was a decade before its time. Edited May 18, 2023 by Black Bat Sarg, Professor Echo, Robot Man and 4 others
Professor Echo
I remember as a kid in the 60's seeing Treasure Chest and some others of its type at my dentist's office waiting room. I wonder if there were free or heavily discounted subscriptions offered for office waiting rooms back then? At that time I didn't care what a comic book was about, if it was a comic, I read it. I loved comics so much and could never afford to buy as many as I wanted so I just read everything I got my hands on. This one is before that time, from 1944 and actually looks like it might be an ok read, or am I still that little kid reading anything and everything? damonwad, Larryw7 and KCOComics

Robot Man
My two most favorite of this title. Seems odd that a religious publication would honor "All Hallows Eve"... damonwad and Larryw7

Cat-Man_America
Does Tom Lehrer (satirist) count as a comic? If so, I can link a short music video d'oh that'd fit nicely.

Jesse-Lee
My dad found me a box of books at an antique show for $20 - it's a huge incomplete run of Treasure Chest. Two of the sought-after anti-Communist ones from Vol. 17 are missing (#18 and #20), and the other volumes range from various issues of Vol. 12-19. Vol. 18 is the only complete one with all 20 issues. Still a really nice pickup for the price, these are pretty interesting! Vol. 12: Vol. 13: Vol. 15 Vol. 16: Vol. 17: Vol. 18 Vol. 19:
