Where would you say your interest lies?

For me I enjoy a little bit of both,I collect for value in some cases. And since I'm a modern collector for the most part, its things like Edge of Spiderverse,a couple ASMs,Spawn 1 ect.

I dont ever expect to sell my comics for a new house or car,maybe a months rent on my apt.

I don’t buy for value. I did that in the 90’s reading garbage comics and missing out on all the good stuff because I thought WildC.A.T.S. was going to revolutionize the industry and Superman was going to stay dead forever. I’m not going to buy a comic I don’t like for the content no matter what. Not interested in keys at all, unless a free one fell in my lap, then I’d be interested in selling it

At this point I happily collect GA comics entombed in plastic. I look upon them as historical items and not for reading.  I buy for future value and sell every now and then.  Occasionally I will pick up a boom to read just for the quirkiness factor like that Strange Adventures book where the airman is parachuting near a brontosaurus. 

I have absolutely no qualms about picking up a book to flip. 

For reading purposes I am a digital guy.

Can’t tell you how many books I have that are not worth anything. But they are great to read.
