Cat Posted August 28, 2022 Share Posted August 28, 2022 (edited) This is from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles creator Peter Laird, a huge Kirby fan. There was a Mirage character named Kirby, and an episode of the cartoon he alone watched over featured an episode where the Turtles actually meet Jack Kirby himself. I think his name may have differed for legal reasons, but it was obvious who it was, and the look was spot on. Kirby has been used as reference since, but not by Laird, whose had minimal involvement with the property since selling it. Edit: And here's a still of Jack from the cartoon, with Donatello.
