the lack of any comments here for around half a year speaks volumes about how disappointing this show was, at least to loyal original GOT fans like myself. i know it's between seasons, but that didnt stop fans of the original from commenting at length.

i very much wanted to like this show. i was underwhelmed each episode, but i liked the female lead in the first several episodes enough to keep watching her. then they replaced her and several other actors with slightly older actors, abruptly, and the next ep was my last one.

the jon snow sequel being put on the shelf is most disappointing, as at least i had hopes that that one might be decent. just seeing kit harrington as snow again would have been fun unless it was awful.

What a crazy move on WBD/HBO Max's part. Easy instant audience. Fans love this character.

Yes, it would be great to see Kit reprise the role before he starts to turn gray. The fan base is here waiting.

I didn't care for this series the first time around. I'm currently rewatching it, and it is growing on me. Sadly, the same can't be said for Amazon's LOTR series. I tried rewatching that and gave up halfway into episode three.

A question from a casual fan.

Jon Snow kills his sister and announces he is returning to the Wall.  What wall and what would they be guarding? Wasn't the wall destroyed, but more importantly- wasn't the reason for the wall and the Watch eliminated?

It's a huge cast. So it gets confusing.

Jon killed his Targaryen relative. Not his sister. He is then sent back up to The Wall to guard against the remaining Wildlings that may have not joined against the undead so as to appease the Unsullied.

Not surprised that gets a little twisted. But to me it's a good thing attributed to the breadth and depth of the GoT world.
