Watched it on MAX today. It reminded me a lot of the first Ant-Man, but overall I enjoyed it. I would not compare it to Black Panther as far as representation. BP showed a lot of the culture, the politics etc. Blue Beetle focused on the dynamics of a family. Still, a pleasant enough outing with generally likable characters.

I watched it also this weekend and I agree it was enjoyable.  I think it's a bit of a stretch to compare it to the quality and social impact of BP but I do like the comparison to the 1st ant man in terms of how it flowed.  I'd give it a B- just because a lot of the jokes fell flat and there was no chemistry between the two leads but it was an enjoyable watch.

That's what I was saying. I brought it up as I have seen some "representation" comparisons between BB and BP and felt, like you, they were something of a stretch.

Just out of curiosity, as it haven't seen this film, can someone please confirm how they pronounce Jaime's first name. Is it Jai-Mee or High-May?
