Everett’s cover on this one is really symbolic on how the Atomic Age Precode horror genre surpassed the era of the Golden Age superhero. The monsters of Horror overwhelmed Marvel Boy and his superhero contemporaries. Other than the Supes, Bats, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman in the back pages of Adventure Comics, the superheroes never never had a chance!

I’d add #17 too with the Venus covers. #17-19 are a trifecta….
