Nice Action 18 Mike. :applause: Some of those non-Superman covers are fun to collect too. You seem to be getting lower & lower number Actions lately ... #41 ... #33 ... #18. So are you offically going for the whole 1-100 run now?

I just recieved this book. I think I turned out alright. I will crack it out and eventually send it to CGC. It's the earliest Action comic that I have ever owned.

Do you ever stop and think that a 1 to 100 run completed in real time would have cost you $10.00.........mind boggling!! Congratulations! Does your run have a requirement of only unrestored books, or only books with both covers attached or is anything OK??

That book was almost mine. I even paid for it! But certain people played hardball, and the deal fell through.

Stephen F. at Metro

Reading between the lines.

Actually, it was a board member. He bought the book from the marketplace, found some magic tape on the inside front cover, and demanded a significant partial refund. The seller refused, and re-listed the book in the marketplace. I bought it, and wired the money to the seller. Unfortunately, the first buyer refused to return the book to the seller, and continued to demand the significant partial refund. Things got very ugly between the buyer and seller, with threats of legal action, etc. Eventually, Vincent at Metro stepped in and mediated an agreement between the seller and first buyer. My guess is that he got a partial refund, but not as big as he was asking. My payment was wired back to me with apologies.

Fishbone, just an FYI, if you're thinking of restoring it, Matt told me that it's a great candidate for resto.

The requirements are as follows: (not etched in stone)

Nice eye-appeal

Unrestored

No name written on the cover

A date stamp is ok

covers attached

Minimum grade 4.0 (This could change with earlier issues)

You're requirements are tougher than mine, Mike. I'll take a name on the cover, and some issues, like #32 or #49 I would accept as restored, if they presented nicely. With your new goal of 1-100, we might be butting heads in the near future!

We shouldn't be butting heads. Is all you have to do is send me a PM before bidding.:kidaround:

My wife has the camera and is working late tonight. I wanted to post the Crowley copy that I recieved today. :juggle:

How about three butting heads??? My Supes-only covers from 7 to 50 is almost complete.....I guess going 50 to 100 would be logical next step, and I already have a dozen of those in place already.......
