Well, this one isn't a "big" book but, one I have been waiting for a while. If you recall, superman#60 started a thread looking for a book that her fiance's grandfather was featured in as one of America's army hero's in 1943. What she didn't know was she was really looking for an Action #60 instead of Superman #60.

 

Andy (Goldust40) had one. They never purchased it and 13 months later, I have it. :cloud9:

I just recently started to move into the Golden age with Superman so I don't have much to show, but I did get these in the last few weeks.

Just in from Metro. I'd been eyeing this for the better part of a year, and when the 8.5 sold on eBay last week for over $2800, this copy looked like a heckuva bargain. :banana:

Put this in the Christmas thread but it bears repeating here. It's supposed to be Fred Ray's personal proof copy. (note the blank space where stores would put in their own name)

 

 

Got this along with a supe 17 proof cover but missed the others that went up for sale, which included a number of early fred ray action covers and some prelim cover recreations.

The VF- copy? I'm only seeing it at $750 :shrug:

 

For my part, that #41 is really something else--great train cover!-)

 

that's a very attractive raw copy that may go for a reasonable price.
