With Comic-Con@Home taking place in a little over a month, it’s finally time to share what we’ve been putting together behind-the-scenes at Collider. If you hadn’t heard, this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, which was scheduled to take place July 22-26, has been moved online due to the pandemic. While an online convention will never be able to recreate what being in San Diego surrounded by thousands of fans is like, the con is trying to do their best to make it as awesome as they can. And here’s the best part: it’s free!

Previously, Comic-Con announced how they have plans for an online Exhibit Hall complete with everyone’s favorite exhibitors offering promotions, specials, and limited-edition products unique to the celebration. In addition, they will also have a Masquerade, gaming, and many other activities in which fans can participate from their own homes.

SDCC spokesperson David Glanzer said, “For the first time in our 50-year history, we are happy to welcome virtually anyone from around the globe. Though stay-at-home conditions makes this a very difficult time, we see this as an opportunity to spread some joy and strengthen our sense of community.”

While I am not sure what the movie studios, networks and other people are bringing to the con, I know Collider has two really awesome panels scheduled. We already announced the first panel called “Directors on Directing” with Robert Rodriguez, Colin Trevorrow, and Joseph Kosinski as the panelists, it’s time to announce the second panel and it’s “Constantine: 15th Anniversary Reunion” with Keanu Reeves, director Francis Lawrence and producer Akiva Goldsman as the panelists!

While I don’t want to reveal any of the specifics of what we talked about, I can promise some great behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the 2005 adaptation of the beloved DC comic series. The panel will run forty-five minutes in length. If you’re a fan of Constantine you’re going to have a great time watching them share stories during Comic-Con@Home. The day and time of the panel will be announced by Comic-Con.

Releasing the Snyder Cut of Justice League was an achievement by fans around the world. It is only fitting then, that the first event celebrating that achievement would also be held by the fans and for the fans. Justice Con 2020 is a two-day virtual convention organized by The Nerd Queens and ComicBook Debate’s own Megan Danielle. The convention will be held on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. Here, you will find all the information you need to know about the upcoming weekend event.

Justice Con will celebrate the 2021 release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max by hosting panels with many cast and crew members who worked on the film. Director Zack Snyder himself will take part in the convention alongside his wife and esteemed producer, Deborah Snyder. Actors Ray Fisher and Ray Porter will be joining the director in discussing the upcoming release. Crew members like cinematographer, Fabian Wagner, storyboard artist Jay Oliva, and photographer Clay Enos will all be making appearances throughout the weekend as well. You can catch up before the event and check out our interviews Wagner, Enos, and Oliva on the Farooqi Bros Podcast.

Outside of cast and crew from Justice League, Justice Con will also play host to journalists, artists, and more. Myself, Sean O’Connell, Jonita Davis, and Chris Wong-Swenson represent some of the journalists who covered the Snyder Cut campaign. Personally, I will be taking part in a panel about the diversity in Zack Snyder’s films and fandom. Additionally, Justice Con will feature the artists from Zack Snyder’s Fan Poster Event, including winner Victor Ku.

Like any event associated with Zack Snyder, the importance of giving back to the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention is a key element. Justice Con will have panels dedicated to speaking with AFSP about the money raised thus far. The event will also feature InkToThePeople’s Todd Richheimer. InkToThePeople is the platform that will deliver all of the merchandise for Justice Con and many other Snyder Cut campaigns over the last two years. You can purchase from any current t-shirt campaigns and all Justice Con gear here. As always, all proceeds go to AFSP.

In May, Snyder announced that HBO Max will release the Justice League Snyder Cut in 2021. Since then, the director has been working on completing his version of the movie. And more recently, Fisher shed light on certain "unacceptable" behavior that occured on the Justice League reshoots set. Earlier this month, Fisher spoke up about Whedon's abusive behavior on set of Justice League, saying the director's behavior was, "gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable." Fisher has since explained that he hasn't said more on the topic due to a non-disclosure agreement, but he's now offered new comments on Whedon.

During his panel at Justice Con, Fisher was asked about the Whedon situation and the actor took the opportunity to stand by what he previously said and reveal that he is currently working on uncovering what happened and figuring out how to reveal it to the public without violating any contracts or legal agreements. Fisher said:

"I put out some pretty strong words, and some pretty strong comments about Joss Whedon and every single one of those words, and every single one of those comments is true. There is a process that is being undergone as we speak to get to the heart of everything that I’m talking about. … The man is probably scared, and he should be because we are going to get to the heart of everything - everything - that went down."

Wow!

It was actually a fantastic panel. Though the final reveal of a teaser and whether this will be a film or multi-episode mini series will have to wait for DC FanDome.

Fabian Wagner is a cinematographer, who worked on many projects such as tv series Sherlock or Game of Thrones. And he also worked on Zack Snyder's Justice League. We will talk about his work and you'll be able to ask your questions as well.
