“Wonder Woman 1984” and “The Flash” will kick off the film programming portion of DC FanDome, Warner Bros.’ virtual Comic-Con alternative, the company revealed Friday with the release of the full schedule of events.

 

Announced in June, the inaugural installment of WB’s online fan festival — which runs for 24 straight hours starting at 10:00 AM Pacific on Saturday Aug. 22. — celebrates all of the upcoming film, television, comics and other projects based on the iconic publisher’s characters and concepts.

 

In addition to closer looks at “Wonder Woman 1984” and the multiverse-spanning, Michael Keaton-costarring “The Flash,” fans who tune in will also get to find out more about WB outings like James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad,” James Wan’s “Aquaman” sequel, and Matt Reeves “The Batman,” a must-see as Reeves joins host Aisha Tyler to talk it up and treat fans to some new footage. Which makes sense, as they’ve got 7 weeks in the can with another 11 weeks of production to go (personally we’re hoping to see some of Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon).

DC fans will have access to over eight hours of panels, performances and previews available for only 24 hours as part of the DC Fandome stream on Saturday.

 

The event was originally divided up into six “islands” based on the type of content, which would be available on the DC Fandome website (click here) during the 24-hour window starting at 10 am PT. Only one of the six islands, the “Hall of Heroes,” was set to be compatible with mobile devices, as both a keyboard and mouse or trackpad are necessary to take part in other aspects of the event.

 

Now DC Fandome will be divided into two days: the DC Fandome: Hall of Heroes stream will take place Aug. 22, and the other five islands of content will air Sept. 12 under the DC Fandome: Explore the Multiverse event. Both will be accessible from a laptop, mobile device or desktop computer.

 

The Hall of Heroes content will play three times throughout the duration of the DC Fandome virtual event for those who might have missed portions originally.

 

There will be options for subtitles for the Hall of Heroes live events in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, while the pre-recorded content will be given English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Traditional Chinese translations.

 

The other islands, which will only be accessible in September, include the WatchVerse, KidsVerse, InsiderVerse, FunVerse and YouVerse. For safe access to only the KidsVerse without other islands, a separate website is provided.

 

The full schedule is available on the event website. Registration is not required to access DC Fandome, but pre-registration is required to view the full schedule ahead of the event’s launch.
