Professor K
Yep. Me 2 days ago: "If goes for under 5 I may bid". Me 2 hours ago: "Oh come on!" 9 feedback winner beat out a 506 feedback by 100 dollars. Hope all goes well for the seller. This Bat 1 page confuses me. I believe it is the best looking Joker splash we've yet to see, and by a good margin. Look at the condition. If the rest of the book looked anywhere near as niceas this page then I have no idea what the benefit of paging it out would be, even if it was coverless. Then again

Maybe there were multiple pages out, or some other catastrophic failure elsewhere. What with the prices of Bat 1, the economics would otherwise seem to discourage such tomfoolery Edited June 20, 2022 by GreatCaesarsGhost

Interesting. There is a commonality across the board that makes it seem the same kid did them all. A labor of love, for sure

Literally was just missing the back cover and 2/3rd’s of 2 interior pages, and less than this one page. I want to cry haha. Oh that is sooo cool. They aren't all from Cap 1 right? What other issues are they from if any? I didn't think of that, maybe those high grade splash pages came from a very incomplete book. They were in very very nice condition. I doubt we'll see as nice of Bat 1 pages anytime soon. GreatCaesarsGhost
Single pages are usually only found on eBay, but the auction houses are starting to step up more and more. I got a nice Action 1 page from CC a couple years ago, and I just now picked up a nice Cap 1 page from Heritage. I collect the actual books too, but I also like the individual pages Marty Mann, szucchini and thedude

It would only make financial sense when a book has suffered such a catastrophic failure elsewhere that who really cares anymore Edited September 10, 2022 by GreatCaesarsGhost

Yes it's a good'un. I had never noticed it before, but you are right. I'm also taken by the fact that Kirby, at the top of the back page, plays around by knocking Red Skull from one panel to the next.
