So, earlier today I went into one of the local liquor stores and the guy offers me to sample Barrell Bourbon (100 bucks a bottle) and says it "blows Blanton's away" in complexity and smoothness. But at 105 proof I found the alcohol competing with an admittedly pleasant flavor. Nice, but hot, and definitely no Blanton's IMO. Yet the sales guy insisted on telling me the opposite was true...
