World’s Finest #38 Jan-Feb 1949

 

Has long ½” wide sunshadows along right side and at bottom of book. A couple small pieces out of bottom corners. Small stain at top by issue number. Back cover is neatly split about 2/3rds down from top. Inside paper is very supple with no damage and complete.

Nice interior pages. Beautiful deep cover color. Has 56 pages (centerfold missing) Tattered and cover detached from single staple. Mostly all there and for reading only.

Dogface Dooley #4 (A-1 #53) 1952 ME Pubs

Very wild issue full of great GGA. Cross dressing story. And, let’s just say some very socially inappropriate content by today’s standards and leave it at that…

A nice, bright, very glossy solid copy. Just minor wear. Has a crease in lower right corner of cover that does not break color. A small neat spine tear and very slightly rolled spine. Tight, well bound copy with off white/white interior pages.

Fox and the Crow #1 Jan 1952 DC Pubs

 

Tough to find first issue

Front cover has a few light small stains. Neat split at bottom up to staple. Back cover is a bit of a mess with multiple tears and a couple of pieces out. Still very readable with very nice pages.

Out of the Night #1 Feb 1952 ACG Pubs

 

Breathtaking 9 page Al Williamson story. Right at the point he was working for EC.

Spine is a little rough. Cover is neatly split most of the way down from top. Cover detached from book. Small piece out of lower right corner. Light stain on back cover. Very readable and looks good in a mylar. A decent reader until you can upgrade just like I just did.

Uncle Wiggley Four Color #276 1950

 

Very bright with bone white pages. No tears or splits, tightly bound. Has numerous spine ticks and small corner creases. Very slightly rolled.

Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories #217 1958

 

Solid, well bound copy with no tears or creases and nice paper. Cover a little dirty with some light stains.

Scarcer late issue with Whitman cover

Bottom staple popped. Small chip out at top. Front cover has a tear and a long top to bottom crease. Back cover has a small tear at top and a couple small tape mends. Nice interior paper and cover sttached to book and centerfold.

Great Messmer art throughout. Really a joy to read.

A bright, tight, glossy copy. Some very light discoloration to covers. Small front cover edge tear. Light sunshadow on back. Cover well bound to book and centerfold. Supple interior pages.
