LDarkseid1 Posted April 14, 2021 Share Posted April 14, 2021 It's tough to say without knowing if the staples aren't attached anymore, which is likely the reason the tape was put there but possibly not. Yeah definitely possible. CGC changed their perception of tape some years ago, and it didn't hurt as much back then. I thought CGC changed its policy to overlook the tape and grade based upon the defect that the tape is covering up (e.g., if its holding a tear together they deduct for the tear, not the tape).
