Mod has 2 meanings-in america in the 60s it meant modern, hip.  In Britain it was an actual group-the Mods-known for driving scooters and wearing green jackets similar to this, usually with a fur collar, and a hatred of rockers.  Their musical icon is The Who.

these psychedelic covers are really going at premium prices.  The only one i've found that hasnt popped yet is girl's romances 126.
