Can't clear up the inker mystery, but this tells why FM never made the strip*, as well as giving us the original print version of that house ad.

(*We got Marshall Rogers instead, hooray! I love those six issues!)

I always thought Frank Miller's early work was a sort of hybrid of Gene Colan and Steve Ditko's style.

I used to love looking at these when I was a kid. I would pick my "first choice, second choice," etc.

Lately, I've been trying to get all the comics in the ads...
