I'm guessing when the mask turned to solid gold, that was a minor costume change.

A Wolverine 8 was recently posted on PGM and I got to looking at Liefeld's back cover art.

Were Wolverine to retract his claws they'd be sheathed from his wrist to mid bicep. He'd have to walk around stiff-armed.

C3PO would have better dexterity.

The only thing I can see that changed is that the green came down over the top of the shoulders more and formed a point just over the deltoid muscle, but it seems like it took a few more issues for that look to become the norm. Regardless, I never really noticed the change or tried to make the comparison until recently.

That Danny Bulandi's name is in fact Bulanadi. And I found that out today having read it as Bulandi for, oh so many years!!!

A less common surname than John Byrne's, which I heard mispronounced many times down the years as John Brine.

I thought that as well for a while.  One of his earliest DC credits, Jonah Hex #9, gave his name as Bulandi.
