Umm... is that a real trailer? Half from the first movie. I had to double check my audio to make sure whoever was doing the voice over really sounded like that. And if that's a sneak peek into the plot, may have a new #1 at the top of "Not needed sequels."

First movie was $103ish million budget.  Let's see which film ends up being better received both critically and financially.  I'm pretty sure I know the answer already.

Ugh, wasn't too hyped about this film and now you hit me with "Man eating monkeys" and "Sharks"??  This is not looking good.  Did they get Denzel before or after they decided to go with sharks?

General turned gladiator, where have we seen that before?  Sounds like this will suffer the standard sequel trap of being too much like the original, should ascend straight to the pantheon of sequels no one asked for or wanted to see.

However...my opinion will quickly change if Denzel isn't actually in the movie and is instead just doing the voice for the dog with the shifty eyes.

Yuuuuuup! I'm in. Looks great, though they're kinda trying to copy Joffrey from GOT with the Emperor's exact look and mannerisms. (Yes, I know that's what they really looked like...but still...) :nyah:

So it’s the exact same movie as the first, only with Denzel doing some Training Day scheming in the background?  Did I miss the news of JJ Abrams’ involvement in this?

Do either of you follow a guy on social media that goes by the name "Chef Reactions" ?  He is a real chef where he films himself reacting to online social media recipes and cooking videos.  There are videos where he cheers on and others where his dry sense of humor and sarcasm have the viewer laughing out loud.  Sometimes though, no matter how bad the food is or looks though he will readily admit with a swear word, "2 outta 10 feeeeee******** I would try it."

That is my reaction to your two comments and my reaction as a whole.  I said the same thing.  Training Day... feeee**** I hope they did not ruin Gladiator...

Probably will still see it.

BTW... watch this guy imitate Denzel doing Training Day influenced (and other Denzel Washington movies) Gladiator lines in the voice of Washington.
