Bummer! Any other Pan Am premiums or BLB related items you have or sell? I have almost a complete collection but always looking to swap or buy if I'm missing or upgrading.

The Pan Ams came from a single source and all I have. Only time I’ve seen any. I have a fair amount of BLBs. Can’t say I seeked many out just grabbed them when they became available. If you have a small specific want list, PM me and I will see what I can do.

BLBs do cross over with comic strips but not much with comic books.
Comic Books are full of comic book stories.
Big Little books have a single story, a novelette?, with an illustration on every other page.
Pulp Magazines contain fiction of any length, with a few scattered interior illustrations.

"Both were cheaply produced, cheap to buy"

"... and tough to find in higher grade."
Everything old is hard to find in high grade.

"And not a quality location to post in the threads."
And neither is this sub-board.

Donald Duck may be the exception.  Pirates Gold and Volcano Valley were both stories by Barks and there are others.

Very cheap flea market pickups yesterday. Rarely, see these ice cream premium giveaways. Just paid, stuffed them in my bag and moved on. Figured they were Tarzan ice cream premiums. Was happy to find them.

When I got home, I checked them out and found they were “Buddy” ice cream premiums. A new one for me. Similar but smaller size than the Tarzan ones.

I rarely find old comics out there anymore. A few pulps and PBs once in a while but there are almost always some BLBs. Since these were usually bought by kids who bought comics, you would think the flea market sellers would find comics as well but not very often.

As long as they are either good titles in high grade or scarcer ones like these at under $10, I have a hard time leaving them.

I think old houses are getting cleaned out. It is getting harder and harder to find any old magazines except maybe Playboy or car mags which I just pass on.
