What is this bubble on the back of CGC case? 1 1

Wasn't sure where to post it so I put it here. The back of my case looks like it has a bubble in it (see photo). I don't see or hear about this very often. Is it just the inner wells touching in the center? Can it be removed or is a reholder necessary? Thanks and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Ok thanks. I did a search and came up with some helpful info. Just not sure if it did any damage to the book. Might have to crack the case???

IIRC some folks have done just that, depending on the severity of the puddling.

It will, on occasion, effect the book.

In the past, when I received books back with puddling, they reholdered them free of charge. I have no idea what the policy is when a second-hand purchased book has puddling.

If it didn't take so long to reholder it I'd send it off and be done with it. Unfortunately it's a "hot" book that will cool down in the future and I'll miss my window for a sale. Even if it's reholdered and the book is damaged the grade will drop significantly.

I'm surprised to hear that cgc will reholder these. I thought their stance was that this doesn't affect the book, even though some say it does (and have shown proof).

I found this in an older thread. Someone here took the book out of the holder and the shape transferred to the book.

That version of case should be easy to crack.

Book is out and yes there is a slight indentation if you look at it from an angle otherwise you can't see it.

Yes. Book is hot right now but not for this piece of garbage.
